I am Nancy Whittle and welcome to my pet portrait site! I always enjoyed painting when I was younger, practicing a lot through my teenage years. At school I achieved full marks in my Art AS levels but did not continue with Art in order to fit in other subjects, which is one of the biggest regrets of my life. Going on to University I continued to paint when I had the chance and entered a competition during first year, which to my surprise, I won!

After University, the time I had available for my art fell away under the pressures of life and working a “normal job”. Over the last year, however, with being stuck at home I’ve rediscovered my love for art, specifically painting animals and working with oil paints. I specialise in oil paint as I really enjoy working with the textures and the challenging brush work required to create an art piece.
